Zancott Recruitment is looking for a Payroll Officer to work in an exciting team environment that continues to grow and expand. With great incentives and bonuses, this is an opportunity not to be missed. This position is Permanent Part Time (0.6 FTE) working Monday to Wednesday 08:00 -17:00.

ROLE OUTLINE:

The Payroll Officer is responsible for managing the payroll function for all contractors of Zancott. Reporting to the Payroll Manager with a common goal to ensure the 100% accuracy in the processing of payroll to maximise Zancott’s brand in the marketplace as a leader in recruitment.

Working with the Payroll Manager, Finance Manager, internal team and external contractors to provide accurate and efficient payroll services to the business. Assist in the ongoing management and education of Zancott candidates and clients to ensure minimal errors and effective communication across the business.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Payroll Officer performs a wide range of tasks. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all new starters Payee records in FastTrack and Onboarded
  • Accurate data entry of all information into the FastTrack payroll system
  • Assist the Payroll Manager in entry of Rates and Rules, Client activation and New Debtor accounts
  • Education and training of candidates on electronic timesheets processes
  • Education and training of clients on electronic timesheet approving, reporting and invoices
  • Processing complete end to end of Weekly Payroll, including Wage Subsidies invoicing and Permanent Placement invoicing
  • Manage Client queries within a maximum of 5 business days
  • Manage online, face to face and phone-based queries in an effective and professional manner within 24 hours
  • General Payroll Administration
  • Award and EBA interpretation to ensure accurate payments and allowances to candidates
  • Assist the Accounts and Payroll Manager in weekly compliance for candidate and client quality audits
  • Assist with Industry Long Service Leave & Industry Redundancy Schemes.
  • Assist with Client Reporting as required.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Skills and attributes that are most needed for this role include:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a payroll position is essential
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Experience with FastTrack 360 payroll system is desirable
  • Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Exceptional time management and able to solve problems
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think proactively
  • Ability to work under pressure
