Role Overview:

The Junior Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating a smooth onboarding experience for new employees. This role involves coordinating onboarding activities, providing personalised support, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our onboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding Coordination:

  • Assist with planning and executing onboarding programs, including orientation sessions, training, and the preparation of onboarding materials.

Support for Indigenous New Hires:

  • Provide tailored support to Indigenous new hires, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to successfully integrate into the organisation.

Resource Facilitation:

  • Ensure new hires have access to relevant support resources, including cultural mentoring, community connections, and internal networks.

Feedback and Improvement:

  • Collect feedback from new hires to assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of onboarding activities and generate reports on onboarding progress and outcomes.

Collaborative Support:

  • Work with HR, hiring managers, and other departments to ensure a cohesive onboarding experience for all new employees.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Indigenous Studies, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably in HR or onboarding, is an asset.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

Organisational Skills:

  • Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Commitment to Inclusivity:

  • A dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software or onboarding platforms is beneficial.

Personal Attributes:

High level of cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusivity. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Office environment with occasional site visits.

Standard working hours are generally from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but flexibility may be required to accommodate onboarding schedules and activities.
