Zancott are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and custom home building. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end, bespoke residential projects in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for custom home projects from plans and specifications
  • Work closely with architects, builders, and subcontractors to assess and refine project budgets
  • Analyse labour, materials, and time requirements to ensure project profitability
  • Monitor project costs throughout the build and adjust as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards
  • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Estimator, with a strong focus on residential and custom home building projects
  • Deep knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs in residential construction
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Desirable Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with high-end residential projects
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
