Project Manager – Civil Construction

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to meet key milestones.
- Coordinate on-site teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, to drive productivity.
- Identify project risks and implement effective management strategies.
- Monitor progress and report updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist in resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
Commercial Management
- Oversee budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage contract variations and ensure profitable outcomes while aligning with project needs.
- Support estimating processes to enhance accuracy for future tenders.
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment workflows.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide consistent updates and resolve issues as they arise.
- Represent the business professionally during meetings and site interactions.
Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement process improvements for project delivery.
- Contribute to the enhancement of project management tools and practices.
- Encourage the use of innovative technologies to improve efficiency.
- Mentor junior staff and promote best practice methodologies.
Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E)
- Ensure compliance with WHS&E regulations and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage safety risks proactively.
- Develop and review safety and management plans.
- Participate in site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Actively contribute to a strong safety culture by addressing issues promptly.

Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Civil Construction Management or related discipline.
- Alternatively: Recognised project management certification.
Experience:
- At least 3–5 years of experience managing civil construction projects.
- Proven experience in large-scale projects, including roads, earthworks, and infrastructure.
- Strong technical understanding of civil construction processes and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard project management tools.
- Confident in managing complex teams, budgets, and project workflows.
