Leading Hand

Zancott Recruitment are recruiting an experienced and motivated Leading Hand on behalf of a well-established and reputable client operating within the Victorian Utilities and Infrastructure sector.

This role will see you supporting a long-term program of works across a diverse range of projects, including earthworks, treatment plants, large-scale pipelines, pump stations and concrete structures. You will be working within a dedicated, high-performing team delivering critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Supervisor and take ownership of jobs from commencement through to completion
• Coordinate and manage site personnel and subcontractors
• Communicate effectively with the site team to program and track job progress
• Attend and actively contribute to site and project meetings
• Manage issue and dispute resolution as required
• Ensure all inspections and relevant documentation are completed and signed off
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures are followed at all times

About You

• Trade qualification or relevant construction / civil industry experience
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships and engage with clients
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and self-motivated approach
• Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• Valid Driver’s Licence (additional operator tickets highly regarded)
• A strong commitment to safety and leading safe work practices
