Plant Operator

Zancott Recruitment are recruiting experienced and reliable Plant Operators on behalf of a well-established and reputable client operating within the Victorian Utilities and Infrastructure sector.

You will work within a dedicated site team delivering a range of civil and utilities projects, including earthworks, pipelines, pump stations and concrete structures, as part of a long-term program of works across Victoria. This role offers stability, variety and the opportunity to further develop your skills alongside experienced industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of plant and vehicles including Excavators, Posi-Tracks, Tipper Trucks and HR Trucks
• Safe setup of job sites in accordance with supervisor requirements
• Completion of JSEAs, pre-starts and other site documentation
• Interpret DBYD plans and locate underground services prior to works
• Carry out basic maintenance and ensure plant and vehicles are kept clean and in safe working order
• Report daily productivity and any issues to engineers and supervisors
• Implement environmental controls in accordance with site CEMPs

About You

• Trade qualifications desirable but not essential
• Previous experience in civil construction (water or utilities experience highly regarded)
• Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
• Valid Driver’s Licence (HR Truck Licence highly regarded)
• Plant tickets such as Excavator, Front End Loader, Bobcat, Rigger/Dogman preferred
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused with strong on-site problem-solving skills
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
