Zancott is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor for a well established, civil construction company specialsing in construction, fitout and refurbishment projects. This is a short-term, 4 week project located in Elizabeth, SA.

As the HSE Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving innovative safety solutions across site. Liaising with all project stakeholders and working closely with the client representatives and contractors on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day WHS support to site teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and safety systems
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead and facilitate toolbox talks and pre-start meetings
  • Assist with development and review of SWMS, JHAs, and project safety documentation
  • Investigate incidents, hazards, and near misses, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
  • Support and promote a proactive safety culture across all site personnel
  • Liaise with client representatives and regulatory authorities as required


Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in WHS, OHS, or a related field.
  • Experience on DIT roads (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a HSE role, preferably in civil construction
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A passion for fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.
