About the Role
Zancott Recruitment is partnering with a well-established training organisation to source an experienced Accountant for a 4-month contract.
This is a hands-on role supporting senior leadership, where you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and operational finance across training programs.
This role would suit a commercially minded accountant who can step in and add value quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
- Produce and analyse P&L reports for management and board
- Monitor program expenditure and financial viability
- Manage cash flow and day-to-day finance operations
- Reconcile bank accounts including credit cards
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Generate invoices and refunds in line with funding requirements
- Ensure compliance with PowerPro reporting
- Allocate costs accurately across jobs
- Calculate and process charge-outs and subsidy claims
- Assist with quotations for training and host employers
- Prepare insurance claims and ad hoc reporting
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Experience in a similar Accountant / Management Accountant role
- Background in GTO, training or construction highly regarded
- Strong budgeting and forecasting capability
- Understanding of bookkeeping processes
- Exposure to Fair Work / Modern Awards (desirable)
- Payroll knowledge advantageous
- MYOB or similar accounting system experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- PowerPro experience (desirable)
