Finance Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to support major civil infrastructure projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial processing, cost tracking, and reporting across project delivery teams.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and the Office Manager, you will manage high-volume transactional processing while contributing to project financial performance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounts payable processing, including 3-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
• Raising purchase orders in JDE and managing invoice workflows
• Matching dockets to invoices and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining productivity sheets and financial tracking registers
• Managing project accounts inbox and processing high-volume invoices
• Supporting month-end activities including accruals, reporting, and reconciliations
• Running financial and usage reports for Project Managers and Engineers
• Assisting with forecasting, cost tracking, and budget visibility
• Ensuring compliance with approval processes (DLOA) and documentation requirements
• Liaising with Engineers, Supervisors, and Suppliers to ensure timely processing

Supporting Duties

• Maintaining Plant Hire Register and raising related purchase orders
• Managing document control, including SharePoint uploads and filing
• Supporting Office Manager with ad hoc project and administrative tasks
• Assisting with mid-month tasks such as open PO reviews and forecast rollovers

Qualifications & Experience

• Construction Induction (White Card) - Mandatory
• Previous experience in a finance administration or accounts payable role
• Experience within construction, civil, or infrastructure environments (preferred)
• Exposure to ERP systems (JDE highly desirable)
• Strong experience managing high-volume transactional processing
