Excavator Operator

Join a well-regarded civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across roads, rail, bridges, utilities, subdivisions, and land remediation throughout South Australia.

We are seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join strong crews working on major Central Brisbane projects, with ongoing long-term opportunities available.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience operating excavators within civil construction environments
• Final trim and GPS experience essential (Topcon GPS highly desirable)
• Experience in subdivision works, trenching and bulk earthworks
• Hold a Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
• Relevant plant operator tickets and VOCs, or willingness to obtain
• Strong understanding of construction site safety requirements
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Reliable work ethic and strong commitment to safety
• Willingness to undertake manual labour when required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy plant safely and efficiently across civil construction projects
• Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on machinery
• Ensure plant is maintained and operated in line with company procedures and OEM specifications
• Work closely with site foremen to achieve daily production targets
• Assist with trenching, boxing roads, bulk earthworks, loading trucks/moxys and material sorting
• Work safely around trench shields and underground services
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude onsite
