Payroll Manager

Based in Stepney, we partner with clients nationally to deliver labour hire and permanent recruitment solutions, with a strong focus on quality, compliance and long-term relationships.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function in a fast-paced labour hire environment. This is a hands-on role with one direct report, ideal for someone who knows agency payroll, understands awards and EBAs, and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant payroll every week.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead end-to-end weekly payroll across labour hire and recruitment operations
• Manage one direct report while staying hands-on in payroll delivery
• Oversee FastTrack360 setup, maintenance, pay and bill rules, and client onboarding
• Ensure compliance across awards, EBAs, payroll tax, super, STP and other statutory obligations
• Support invoicing, reporting, year-end processes and operational payroll queries
• Partner with finance and operations teams to keep payroll running smoothly and accurately

What you’ll bring

• Strong Australian payroll experience in labour hire, recruitment or another high-volume environment
• Solid knowledge of awards, EBAs and payroll compliance requirements
• Confidence leading a small team while remaining hands-on
• FastTrack360 experience highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail, judgement and communication skills
