Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end to end delivery of allocated projects, delivering civil, electrical, building and mechanical projects, both surface and underground, for a major Tier 1 client.

This is a hands on leadership role with full accountability for project planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, commercial performance, safety, quality, and successful delivery. You will play a key role in communication and liaison between the business and its Tier 1 client, while providing leadership and support to Supervisors and project teams.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity based on site at Olympic Dam, ideal for an experienced Project Manager looking for a long term opportunity with a well established contractor and a strong package on offer.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, and working closely with Superintendents, Supervisors and project teams across disciplines, as well as Commercial and Finance, you will:

  • Manage the safe, on program, on budget delivery of assigned projects from initiation through to completion
  • Act as a key point of contact for the client on allocated projects
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules, ITPs, FTRs and daily reports
  • Provide regular reporting to the client and senior management
  • Oversee project invoicing, cost tracking and margin management
  • Support procurement, logistics and execution across project teams
  • Contribute to large tenders, preparing multidisciplinary quotes and submissions
  • Attend management and client meetings, providing updates as needed
  • Lead a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with THAs, SWMS and permit requirements
  • Maintain quality standards aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 certified systems

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a project or site management role within construction, resources, or a related industry
  • Demonstrated experience working with Tier 1 subcontractors
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors from initiation through to completion
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a sound understanding of project cost tracking, invoicing and margin management
  • Prior experience within a major resources or mining client environment strongly preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Project and Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience liaising directly with clients
  • Construction Industry White Card, current driver's licence, and ability to obtain a satisfactory Police Clearance
  • Formal project management qualification (e.g. Diploma of Project Management) highly regarded
