Pipe Layer - Sign on Bonus

Zancott Recruitment is currently looking for experienced Pipe Layers and Second Fix Pipe Layers for ongoing civil construction work across Metropolitan Adelaide and Regional South Australia.

We are working with a number of reputable civil contractors on major infrastructure, utilities and subdivision projects. We are looking for reliable and experienced Pipe Layers who take pride in their work and have a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of stormwater, sewer and watermain infrastructure
• Second fix pipe laying
• Installation of water and sewer mains and connections
• Pipe laying to SA Water standards
• Trenching, bedding, compaction and backfilling
• Installation of pits, precast structures and drainage systems
• Reading construction plans, levels and set-out information
• Spotting and hand digging around existing services
• Working safely around excavations and mobile plant
• Working alongside excavator operators and civil crews
• General civil construction duties as required

To be Successful:

• Previous Pipe Laying experience within civil construction
• Experience with stormwater, sewer and watermain infrastructure
• Experience with underground utilities and drainage
• Experience spotting and hand digging around services
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• SA Water experience and/or Blue Card
• White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Strong understanding of site safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening

Sign-On Bonus:

Successful candidates may be eligible for our Pipe Layer Sign-On Bonus, with up to $1,500 in bonus payments:

• $250 after successfully completing Week 1
• $500 after successfully completing Week 6
• $750 after successfully completing Week 12

Bonus is available to a limited number of successful candidates and is subject to satisfactory attendance, performance and ongoing employment.
