Business Manager

Zancott Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Manager to join a growing, privately owned South Australian business.

With significant growth achieved over recent years and ambitious plans for continued expansion, our client is looking for a commercially minded professional who can work closely with the Managing Director to drive business performance, strengthen internal systems and support the next stage of growth.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of business-wide performance, reporting, financial forecasting, systems and continuous improvement.

Working alongside the existing operational leadership team, your focus will be on translating business strategy into action, ensuring departments remain accountable and driving improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage business-wide KPIs, reporting dashboards and performance measures.

• Drive strategic business objectives, ensuring clear accountability and progress across departments.

• Oversee cash flow forecasting, profit forecasting and financial performance reporting.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability and business processes.

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.

• Develop and maintain business management systems, policies, procedures and reporting frameworks.

• Facilitate leadership meetings, monitor business priorities and ensure agreed actions are delivered.

• Work closely with the Managing Director to support strategic planning and business growth.

About You

We are looking for an experienced business professional with strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to drive business performance and improvement.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior business management, commercial or business operations role.

• Proven experience contributing to business growth, with a strong understanding of the systems, processes and financial controls needed to support expansion.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability and performance reporting.

• Experience developing and implementing business systems, processes and reporting structures.

• Proven ability to translate business strategy into action, drive accountability and implement processes that support business growth.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge decisions and drive accountability.

• Experience with management systems, continuous improvement and compliance frameworks.

Experience working within a growing, privately owned business and familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar business management frameworks will be highly regarded.

A civil construction background is not required, and we welcome transferable experience from other industries.
