About the Opportunity

Zancott Recruitment is partnering with MPS Group to recruit an AI & Automation Specialist to support the implementation of AI and automation solutions across its business operations.

MPS Group is an established, Indigenous-owned multi-trade services business supporting major mining, industrial and infrastructure projects across South Australia.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys finding smarter ways of working and has the technical ability to turn ideas into practical solutions. Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll identify opportunities to improve business processes, recommend AI initiatives and take ownership of developing and implementing solutions across the business.

About the Role

You'll work across different departments, including operations, estimating, finance, administration, HR, recruitment and marketing, identifying where AI and automation can improve efficiency and streamline everyday processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve existing business processes.
  • Design, develop and implement AI workflows and automation solutions.
  • Integrate AI tools with existing business systems and applications.
  • Develop solutions supporting areas such as reporting, invoice processing, tender preparation and administrative workflows.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and internal teams to identify business needs and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support staff with the introduction of new technologies, including training and ongoing improvements.
  • Research and assess emerging AI tools and technologies to identify opportunities for the business.
  • Ensure solutions are implemented with appropriate consideration for data security, privacy and confidentiality.

About You

We're looking for someone with practical experience developing and implementing AI workflows who can confidently take an idea through to a working solution.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience building and implementing AI workflows or automation solutions, whether professionally or through independent projects.
  • Experience using multiple AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Power Automate, Make, Zapier, n8n or similar.
  • An understanding of business systems, integrations and automation processes.
  • The ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions that improve business operations.
  • An understanding of data privacy, system permissions and secure handling of business information.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across different departments.
  • A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects independently.

Formal qualifications in AI or IT are not essential. We're more interested in your practical experience, technical capability and what you've successfully developed or implemented.

How to Apply

If you have a passion for AI and automation and enjoy developing practical solutions that make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume along with a brief cover note addressing the following:

  1. What AI tools or automation platforms have you used?

  2. Can you provide an example of an AI workflow or automation solution you've developed, including the process it improved?

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to demonstrate examples of their previous AI or automation projects during the interview process.
